Sunday's action will see Strathmore take on Ulinzi in a crunch clash

Kenya Handball Federation (KHF) women's league side Rangers picked two points and lost as many in their final weekend of league action.

Up against New Hope in the opening match, the Gerald Juma-coached side went all out, winning the match 50-17 to move one win closer to sealing their Super Cup slot.

Naomy Muyoka was once more the star of the show as she scored 13 to propel the Kimilili-based side to the win as Belinda Mulongo and Martha Lavenda added seven each to the tally.

In their second match of the day against National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB), Juma's charges let go of a first half 14-16 lead to lose the match 32-25 as Sarah Mabonga led the onslaught for the Brian Mathew coached millers.

In other matches, Net Navigators almost gave up a five-goal lead against Kenyatta University (K.U) as the students rallied from behind in the second half to come to within a goal of equaling the military side's tally at 27-26.

The win gave Net Navigators some hope of making it to the top four albeit for a moment as they went on to lose their second game of the day 22-40 to holders Nairobi Water Queens.

Meanwhile Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) picked a 43-31 win against Rising Stars with Annette Barasa leading the charge with nine goals.

In the men's league, the only clash of the day pitting Strathmore University against Dessert Scorpions was an easy encounter for the former who led 20-6 at half time before picking a convincing 39-23 win.
